What after diagnosis?
After the diagnosis is confirmed, an IHC (Immunohistochemistry) and FISH (fluorescent in situ hybridization) is done to check whether the cancer is HER2 positive. Usually, HER2 positive cancers spread faster and are more aggressive. The treatment line is slightly different for these HER2 breast cancers. Cancer is also tested for hormone receptors of estrogen and progesterone.
