How to Get Rid of Spider Veins
Wow... That actually sounds very scary, what is spider veins?
Well, I have learned that we do not have to be scared of spider veins as it has nothing to do with spiders... Shew, what a relief right?
Spider veins are actually a name for veins on your legs and other parts of your body. It is called spider veins because it looks like a spider is busy making a web with our veins. Spider veins are a very common thing and not just something woman gets as men can have them as well.
Spider veins are also called Varicose veins.
These veins are visible when looking at your skin. Spider veins are a blue or purple color. Sometime if you rub your hand over them you will be able to feel them. These vein at times may appear very dark and lumpy. Spider veins are underneath the skin, yet, very close to the surface, closer than normal.
There is about 50 to 55 percent of women and about 40 to 45 percent of men in the U.S that has a vein problem, not to even mention spider veins. Spider veins or Varicose veins are most common for people that are older than 50 but it can be found in younger people. Women that are pregnant may also get spider veins caused by the hormonal influences.
Spider veins are mostly found in older people because with age your veins lose some of their natural elasticity and this is caused by rising levels of inflammation. If you have a light color skin, you will also notice spider veins more than on people with darker skins.
There are a few ways to treat spider veins.
Treatment may vary a lot and so will the cost. Most people might just jump into the surgery option instead of looking at other natural home remedies that will also work. Home treatments do take a lot longer to work and need a lot of patients as it does not go away overnight. Home treatments should furthermore be done on a very regular basis. If you can do it every day, then you will get there faster.
The surgery option as a very fast way but does cost a lot. In my opinion, I would say do the home treatment and then if you are not happy with the treatment at home, look at getting surgery to get rid of spider veins. Think about this before just jumping into things.
