The Board is the body that comes up with the bank's vision, its ideals and mission. The moment an organisation has strong leadership with definite goals it performs better as it serves as an example for employees to follow the rules and aspirations as dictated by leadership.
Whether one is an office manager or a project leader, all good leaders require a number of soft skills to help them positively interact with employees or team members. Employers seek these skills in the candidates they hire for leadership roles.
Few weeks back on Saturday, while returning home in the evening, I saw few kids playing under-arm cricket in my society compound, and the bowler took two wickets in two consecutive balls! The bowling team started celebrating, with taunting words to the opponent team "Haar gaya re tumlog... ab 8 ball me 20 runs kaun karega" and at that time, a new batsmen came in. Someone from the batting team replied "Arey ab tak humara Dhoni baki hai" These words and the match situation was so interesting, that I decided to stop for the next few balls. Bowler was on a Hat-trick and bowled a same yorker length delivery which helped him get two consecutive wickets, but this time new batsmen defended it successfully and in the next ball took a single run. Someone from fielding team shouted "Ab last over me 19 runs chahiye... dekhte hai inka Dhoni kya karta hai". Eventually that young local Dhoni turned the match to his team's favour with some power hitting and his teammates were dancing like anything.
Striving towards attaining goals, either for yourself or a team, one needs to have leadership qualities for the accomplishment of the set goals. The qualities act as absolute essentials for surmounting obstacles, taking risks, and finding creative ways to be successful. Leadership qualities are not traits that one is born with; instead, it can be learned and cultivated by practice and repetition.
